RABBIT HUNTING
I’m very fortunate to live in an area with a lot of rabbits and thousands of acres of public access land to hunt on.
If you have never hunted rabbits with dogs before it’s a lot of fun and the action can be fast and furious. A rabbit going full out with a pack of dogs hot on his heels can be a hard target to hit.

The last week of March, no snow and white bunnies...WHAT A WEEK!
Any gauge shot gun that fits you and isn’t too heavy will work and a shot size of 6 or 7 ½ is a good choice.
I provide transportation to and from the hunt by truck as long as the party isn’t too large, or by snowmobile if the conditions warrant it. When the snow starts getting deep there aren’t many roads that are passable and the only way to get to the best hunting spots is by sled.
Most people do not think of hunting bunnies till after the first of the year because they also hunt other things.
Fall rabbit hunting can be some of the most productive of the year. You do not have to be as concerned about the weather. The roads are more accessible and the bunny population is at its highest of the year.. Also you may be the only people hunting bunnies in the area.
For safety reasons no more than 5 people.

At the truck or back in the woods with the snowmobile, the coffee pot is always on and you'll always have a hot meal.
